How can I get my bipolar husband to stop taking prescription drugs and trust in the Lord to heal him instead?

I hate those drugs. I have tried to get him to stop taking them but he won't.How can I get my bipolar husband to stop taking prescription drugs and trust in the Lord to heal him instead?
Leave him alone and stop being an idiot. How can I get my bipolar husband to stop taking prescription drugs and trust in the Lord to heal him instead?
Feed him troll juice.
You should be taking medication too.
remind him that as god won't heal amputees, he won't heal bipolar people either
Sweet Christ, I hope you're not serious. If not, please divorce him for his sake.
Well I understand your concern but sometimes we must do what we can for such conditions. If the benefit is greater than the side effects then he should continue his meds. He is the best judge of that.
Have the lord heal him first, then have him tell your husband himself that he is healed.
Bipolar drugs are good. Why do you want to put him in harm's way because of your stupid religion?
Why would you wanna do that to him? If you felt that way the Lord would've told him his self. *Smh*
He'd be much worse off without the medication
no
I have bi-polar and trust me you want him to be on those drugs, it can get pretty ugly if my bi-polar isn't in check. Let him do what he wants he isn't harming you by taking them chances are he's saving you.
God made us with the knowledge of creating this aiding medicines that allow people to have a better quality of life when faced with illness that need treating. why would you so selfishly take that away from him? If you were in excrutiating pain whether it be due to cancer or some sort of horrendous incident that leaves bones broken, muscles torn, should he refuse you medical care and let God take care of it?
God made him with this disorder, but he also made the doctors and the plants used by the doctors to make the medications to treat his disorder, so why turn down a gift God gave to him? its just like that story, a man was drowning in the ocean and he prayed to God for him to be saved so a boat came along and offered him a ride and he said ';no thank you, im waiting for God to save me'; and this happened twice more until he drowned, and when he got to heaven he said ';God, why didnt you save me?'; and God said ';i sent you three boats? what more did you want?'; God wants us to help ourselves, so let your husband take the drugs to heal him.
Hit him with a mallet on the second full moon of July
So God can cure him like he cured Jeffrey Dahmer of his mental illness...good call I say to hell with what the trained medical professional says all that man needs is a little Jesus up in him...
Tell him how much fun it will be when he stops taking his medications and starts hearing God talk to him, telling him all sorts of wacky things he should do. :)
god does not help those who do not help themselves. You must give him the medication.
Are you a troll? Just asking.
its just like getting a smoker to quit smoking, you have to do nothing but pray and hope that God will change their mind. just tell him, ';Honey, i really don't like the fact that you take those medications. God can do so much more than they can. i promise to get off your back because its your decision and your body. just know that i'm praying for you, and i love you.';

then stop saying things about it. i will be praying for ya'll. God Bless. kathy
Did you ever think that maybe the Lord makes the prescription medications available and that is His way of healing your husband?
I think you have to understand the nature of your husband's illness and treatment. God is healing through medication. Bi-polar without medication is a terrible disorder. You are lucky he takes the meds and they work. I think it's more about praying for understanding.

You can only change yourself.

If he was diabetic would you deny his insulin?
yeah, if you want 2 husbands
I know you are troll but...

Bipolar people suffer from brain disease. They need medicine like diabetic ´needs insulin or they suffer and - often - try to stop the suffering by own hand.

Atheist.
So, you claim to understand medicine more than his doctor?

Ask your religious leader if he or she would recommend substituting devotion for medicines in this case - I doubt he'd categorically say it was a good idea.

That being said, medicine is by no means a perfect discipline and your doctor may have misdiagnosed the situation or have come up with an inadequate solution.

You might look for a second opinion.

But ';trust in the lord'; is NOT going to fix a broken arm, and you know it.

Yes, bi-polarism is far more complex than a simple bone fracture, but it is the same religious argument.
I had a roommate who stopped taking her meds for her bipolar illness because her sister thought she should try it your way -- thru Jesus. Evidently Jesus was busy at that time, because her life took a huge downward turn almost immediately.

A week later, she almost lost her life when she picked up a stranger.

She also lost her job, her home, and most of her friends when she stopped taking her meds.

She nearly lost her daughter while waiting for Jesus to heal her brain chemistry problem.

Why would you want to subject someone you love to this kind of suffering?
Don't be stupid. Bipolar is serious. Do you want him to be all loving one minute and beating you the next? I don't usually approve of drugs that affect your mind but unless he's got some super therapy going on that is working for him he needs those drugs.
I am bipolar and I will tell you if I do not take my meds I go totally crazy, like go to jail crazy except i will wind up in the psych ward instead because I am documented to have these problems and i do not get physical, I just do not back down and get very very loud.

Stay on his meds, God gave us the meds to solve the problem. I do not understand why people do not get that, that is how God has solved problems, by giving us the means to fix it some how. He has in this case
If you're serious, this is very irresponsible. Bipolar people need their medication just like people with heart conditions need theirs. If you DID convince him to stop taking them and he committed suicide, his blood would be on your hands.

I really hope you're a troll.
Without his medication he could become a danger to you,to himself and to others. People with bi-polar need their medication. I know quite a few people who have gone off their meds and have committed suicide. Is that what you want? Or for him to become a raving lunatic? God gave man the ability and the knowledge to create drugs and to diagnose our problems and sicknesses. let you husband continue to that his meds.
