It depends on which team you are trying to purchase tickets for since several of them are sold out and have waiting lists for tickets. If this is the case you can easily purchase tickets in the secondary ticket marketplace by buying from season ticket holders who sell off extra tickets for games they cannot attend. However, the teams do not ship the tickets to the season ticket holders until the last week of July each year, so that is after fathers day. You can still purchase the tickets in advance and let your husband know that you ordered the tickets and they will actually arrive by August. Still plenty of time before the season starts in September. The other option is if the NFL team you want to go to never sells out and has tickets available for sale at the box office.
