How long after basic training does the army allow a spouse to move with the soldier to DLI in Monterey CA?

My husband is due to graduate june 3rd and it says he starts DLI on July 5How long after basic training does the army allow a spouse to move with the soldier to DLI in Monterey CA?
well first, congrats on your hubby joining the service.. my husband joined the navy and it has been so great to us. i remember asking a very similar question to yours when my then fiance was in bootcamp.. we got married on his graduation/liberty weekend. i moved with him maybe 10 days later. they sent him to SC and he filled out paper work to come and get me, and chose a house on base, they set a day for him to leave and return. i would say be packed because the military can be last minute, dont be surprised if you will be moving with in acouple days after he graduates. i would recomend looking up the housing military offers in that area. i found many articles this is one. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armybaseprofiles/ss/monterey_6.htm. it says theres a lot of ppl in that area so they dont send families til the housing in secured. i couldnt find an offical site for base housing but id give that a try and contact then too see how long housing takes, thatd prob be the deciding factor of when you move with him.
